About US

Jeanne has been involved in pure breed dogs since the 1960's when she and her husband got their daughter, Sherri, a little Samoyed puppy named "Mishka". Through the years she has grown to a love the show ring and breeding beautiful Portuguese Water Dogs and Black Russian Terriers. Along with the beauty and correct conformation of the dogs she breeds, she focuses on Health and Temperament.

Jeanne has had a lot of success in the Show Ring having PWD National Specialty BIS Brace and Group Winners. She has also had a lot of success with her Black Russian Terriers. She owns International & AKC Ch Hohotushka s Zolotogo Grada; the first female BRT to win a Group 1 and the same female went on to be the very first BRT to win the Breed at the Westminster Kennel Club show. Two of her BRTs " Sergei" & "Alina" won Best Veteran Male and Veteran Female at the AABRT Specialty show. Her boy Ch Angelo s Zolotogo Grada is also an International Champion and won Best In Show Junior at the European Championships in Austria. He also has many Group Placements and 2 Group Ones.

Jeanne was introduced to the Havanese at the dog shows and said "When I get too old for these big dogs... I want to get a Havanese!!" Then she took care of a darling little Havanese girl for a client when they were on vacation. That sealed the deal!! She had to have one! (Even though she isn't old.. yet) grin

In 2008 along came a little White and Black Havanese puppy named "Salsa" from Karlyn Harris in Kansas. Jeanne co-owns Salsa with Leanne Chase, of Black Magic Kennels.

Then in February of 2011... while discussing the Black Russian Terrier with a Bolonka breeder in Iowa ... Jeanne became curious about the Russain Tsvetnaya Bolonka... after all... it was another Russian Breed!! And a Rare Breed at that!! Always interested in being in on the rare breeds... Jeanne decided to get on the list for a show puppy from "My Darling Dogs" Kennel in Idaho.

Jeanne is excited to start showing the Havanese and the Russian Tsvetnaya Bolonka ...
bringing her experience in breeding to her Havanese and Russian Tsvetnaya Bolonka programs.

As far as we can determine DeSagres is the first Kennel in the Denver Area to have the precious little Bolonka. If you are in the Denver Area or Colorado... and you have a Bolonka... please contact us!
